Last Side Publishing was established in 2002 as owner and publisher of New Zealand's Shearing magazine. Last Side Publishing now specialises in producing special-interest lower print run books and family histories. These include "The Way it Was" by Tom Brough (2005); "Born to Thunder - champions of New Zealand cycling " for Des Williams (2006); "Scottie" for Norman Harris in 2008 and "The Hole in the Bush - A Tuatapere Centennial Review" in 2009. Last Side Publishing is now (Feb 2010) producing two further Norman Harris books - "Beyond Cook's Gardens" (A memoir) and "What are you doing out here", a story linking the Tangiwai rail disaster of Christmas Eve 1953 and a cricket test in South Africa being played at the same time. The two seemingly distinct events were tragically linked when the fiancee of a New Zealand player (Bob Blair) lost her life in the rail disaster. Last Side Publishing continues to produce the NZ Shearing magazine three times per year - April, August and November.
