Write a reviewTaumarunui Basketball & Sports Association is an active community organisation since 1948. Competitions have been based on local community participation from Year 1 to Senior Level. With the inclusion of Mini Meez which caters for Year 1 to Year 4, it has generated interest for the next level Mini Ball Year 5 to Year 8. Local high school teams play in competition out of town and Senior level basketball is played socially with the inclusion of highly dedicated long term basketballers who generate new interest from new players by forming teams with experienced players with newbies. Our small but dedicated committee continue to provide local basketball mainly to junior leagues which includes our local primary schools which has been successful for over the last 10 years. Our local youth are committed to refereeing duties and have gained valued leadership skills whilst being part of the junior leagues.
