Working in oil on fine linen canvas, I produce a limited number of paintings per year - (each work takes eight to twelve weeks.) Essentially I'm making landscape paintings, focusing on architectural structures in both urban and rural settings. The aim for me, is to convey a mood or often undefinable sense of mystery, that transcends the accurate description in paint, of texture, and the colour of light on surfaces.
