Begineer classes run regularly.Teach Swing: Lindy Hop, Shim Sham, Balboa, Shag, Jitterbug, BluesSwingKatz was created in 2006 by founder Lenard Smythe who has extensive experience in Latin, Ballroom and Swing. His passion for swing is very catchy and classes have grown. Come along and join the classes running every Thursday at the Timaru RSA. Swing dancing was discovered in 1930s and has grown in popularity again since the 1990's. There are many dance schools in New Zealand now that share the love of the lindy hop to students of all ages. Come along and enjoy a dance, no partner required
