  What businesses need our services? If you employ staff/or contractors and provide electrical equipment, it must be "electrically safe", likewise if you sell secondhand electrical equipment, or if you hire out, or supply appliances as part of a tenancy agreement.
  Testing appliances to AS/NZS 3760 is the only way documented in the Electrical Safety Regulations 2010 to get to "deemed safe"(see Reg 26) if you are using tools and leads on a construction or demolition site, see Reg 25 (d).

  Port Appliance Test & Tag technicians are very experienced at working in PC1 and PC2 labs and will work in conjunction with your lab manager to accommodate any specific requirements that your facility requires.
  
  Based on our laboratory appliance testing experience, we would suggest annual retests your equipment such as water baths, hot plates, bacti zappers, larger items such as Incubators where the leads are secured away from day to day activities could have a longer retest interval without compromising electrical safety.
  
  Cost to test and tag laboratory equipment:
  Using Port Appliance to test your laboratory equipment will be a lot more cost effective than using an electrician, with the specialized portable appliance testing machines and the systems that we have set up, along with our unique reports, and test and tag compliance certificate, you will be quoted a per tag rate, our charges are adjusted to reflect overall numbers of items to be tested.
  We are flexible about when we do our thing, and will work at a time that causes your lab manager and lab staff the least stress, at no extra cost
