Glenfield Music Centre is a government-funded initiative that offers affordable music lessons to children aged 7-12 years. Most classes are $120 for the year. Children aged 7-9 have to learn Recorder for at least one year before moving onto an instrument of their choice such as: Classical Guitar, Clarinet, Trumpet, Bassoon, Flute, Oboe, Cello, Violin, Keyboard, Viola, Drums or Childrens Choir. Lessons are held at Glenfield Intermediate on weekday afternoons or Saturday mornings during school term. Enrolments are held yearly from Labour Weekend onwards.
