Write a reviewSome history about Reef Cottage. The cottage was built in 1887 from native rimu timber for local barrister, Patterson and son (hence the safe). We bought Reef Cottage and the two properties next to it in 1995. The end building we live in, the other is the booking office, which we have just renovated into a dining room/cafe. We opened the café in April 2001. Initial renovations for B&B started in 1995 and took over 18 months. Reef Cottage Café, is built in Victorian style where buffet, special and cooked breakfasts are served. Á la carte lunch and dinner are also available
