Our hydro stations have a combined installed capacity of 2388 megawatts. This is about the same amount of electricity as 1.4 million average New Zealand homes use in a year. Our New Zealand wind farms have a combined installed capacity of 356 megawatts. This is about the same amount of electricity as 179,000 average New Zealand homes use in a year. We retail electricity to around 270,000 residential, rural and business connections (ICPs) through our Meridian and Powershop brands. We are New Zealand's largest renewable electricity generator with international projects in Australia and the Pacific. We retail energy through our Meridian and PowerShop brands. We manage an elver and migratory eel trap and transfer programme in the waters surrounding our Manapōuri and Waitaki Scheme hydro dams.
