University Sport New Zealand would like to congratulate Lauren Boyle on her selection as the first FISU-Oceania student athlete to be awarded one of three global scholarships from the International University Sports Foundation (FISU).

Three scholarships are awarded after each World University Games as a legacy of the 2003 Universiade, based on both sporting and academic performance.

Lauren, who recently completed a Bachelor of Science (Business Administration) at the University of California Berkeley, produced an outstanding performance at the 2011 summer Universiade, winning two gold, two silver and a bronze.

University Sport New Zealand wishes Lauren the best of luck in her future endeavours, both, in and out of the pool.
