Managing the big stuff.

At Think Infrastructure we house our own asset management specialists who’ve undertaken responsibilities across a variety of government organisations. Our expertise means we can carry out gap analyses across asset classes based on the International Infrastructure Management Manual used for identifying priorities to improve and prepare asset management plans and drive better balance sheet performance. Sounds impressive huh? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Here we go…

We assist with developing asset strategy, policy, planning, and the preparation of asset management system specifications and procurement. Additionally, we can investigate and improve ‘actual’ and ‘balance’ sheet performance, of public sector asset management –assisting public sector agencies to make informed choices in their asset strategy and planning to deliver rationalised and efficient estates. Phew. But wait there’s more.

Our approach enables our clients to define core, surplus, and intermediate assets, helping them to prioritise up-front investment in order to realise significant savings and maximise returns.

Essentially it’s all about improvements to balance sheets by:

  • Reducing operating costs by balancing planned maintenance
  • Using technology to streamline processes
  • Outsourcing non-core services
  • Implementing systems and processes that enable risk minimisation and management
  • Managing for whole-of-life – no surprises
  • Accurate reporting
