July 14, 2011 / RedR NZ
A warm invitation to attend the 2011 AGM of Pacific Women's Watch (NZ) to those concerned with status of women and girls in the Pacific region including New Zealand.
Wednesday 20 July, 7.30pm
St Columba Centre, 40 Vermont St, Ponsonby
with parking behind the Centre
Our speaker is our Patron, Dr Marilyn Waring, Professor of Public Policy at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). Marilyn will speak on 'Being RAMSI Gender and Governance Coordinator - challenges and celebrations.' We are most fortunate to have her address the meeting on her recent experiences in Solomon Islands and also as a very highly regarded specialist consultant in many South-East Asian And Pacific Island countries. Marilyn's work has been extensive and intersects well with Pacific Women’s Watch (New Zealand)'s primary focus of monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the status of women.
This is an open meeting - we can be sure of an evening of great interest and rich discussion.
