Elder Family Matters’ sole intent is to assist older people in the wider Wellington region (including the Hutt Valley, Porirua basin, Kapiti Coast, and Wairarapa) so they can choose to continue living in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. This often requires respite for their day to day carers (husbands wives, family, and friends).
Elder Family Matters
do this by:
• assisting the elderly with the tasks of daily living: shopping, housework, personal cares, laundry, meals, transport, social activities;
• one-on-one support / companionship / outings for people in residential care;
• respite care to enable the main carer for a loved one to have a break.
Elder Family Matters has a full range of Carers including registered nurses, enrolled nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapist.
