National Office Staff : Early Childhood Council

He has held the senior communications roles for the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Auckland Healthcare, Avalon NFU Studios, the New Zealand Pavilion for Expo 92 in Spain, a professional theatre, and a New Zealand Cabinet Minister. His roles for the ECC include strategic thinking, communications management, media relations, media training and lobbying.

Life Members : Early Childhood Council

She later became the area contact for the Taranaki area until these positions were no longer required as the ECC grew and employed paid staff, thus support was given through the head office. Through the years she has seen many changes, including the Ministry of Education taking responsibility for licencing and regulating, and the ERO reviewing EC centres.

Events : Early Childhood Council

Participants include centre managers, committee members, owners, staff, students, government officials, training providers and anyone with an interest in the care and education of children under five. As a leader in the early childhood sector the ECC hosts New Zealand’s largest annual early childhood conference. Encourage a growing and supportive network of early childhood teachers, supervisors, owners, and managers.

National Executive : Early Childhood Council

Lonnie has worked for a variety of corporates—airline, meat processing and newspapers—in accounting, IT and senior management roles. Lonnie became involved in the childcare industry when she purchased a centre, Bright Sparks Childcare, in November 2005. She is a qualified accountant, a member of the Institute of Directors, and has a Masters in Business Administration.
