Reasons for Wishing to Serve on the Board: As retiree, I can devote substantial time and effort to the Board.  I have a unique background and the experience in community services to enable me to work with the citizens of Wellington in addressing pressing issues of concern.

Issues of Particular Interest: Sound fiscal management and rigorous enforcement of Design Guidelines in these difficult economic times, in order to maintain Wellington as a unique and special community in Northern Virginia. Also, enhanced volunteerism and the annual public recognition of volunteers.

++++

Candidate’s Name: Robert Porch
Address: 10890 Pennycress Street

Biographical Information: Wellington resident since 1997. Current job,
Computer Scientist, Chair of the Global Information Grid Technical Profile
Development Group and work with the Intelligence Community and Law
Enforcement Agencies in the development of Common Information Sharing
Standards on the War against Terrorism. Retired U.S. Army and Viet Nam
Veteran.

Reasons for Wishing to Serve on the Board: I am interested in becoming a
member of the Board of Directors because I wish to preserve the quality of
life in Wellington.  Although Wellington may be limited in physical size that
does not mean the Board  should be limited in its service to the Association
members. I strong believe that the Board must be focused on providing the
best possible service to the Community.  I believe in “Customer Service” not
“Servicing the Customer” and Customer Service is what the Board should be
providing to the members of the Association. Service is effectively
communicating with association members, responding to their needs,
valuing their worth, and instilling excellence through courtesy, confidence,
and enthusiasm. That means that I will be “PROACTIVE” VS “REACTIVE.”
Are tired of issues taking forever to get solved, then vote for me and I will
do my best to get those issues resolved in the least amount of time.

Issues of Particular Interest: If you have noticed that things that made
Wellington a great place to live have been disappearing, things just don’t
seem to be getting done, social events, etc. then like me are looking for
change.

++++

All owners should vote, as the Community needs to establish quorum in order for the election to take place. Thank you for your participation in this election!
