"Our multi-purpose shed was a challenging build and Waikato Sheds did a first class job of it. Their attention
to detail and quality of workmanship was really good. Nothing was too much trouble."

Rob Waddell
Olympic Gold Medalist and Americas Cup Sailor

When Rob Waddell needed a new building for his farm, he chose Waikato Shed Company. Rob had specific requirement’s that had to be met, and it was clear a ‘standard shed’ wasn’t going to give him the flexibility, features or look he was after.

With the new shed located close to his home, it was important that it be aesthetically pleasing. The monopitch roof was custom made to precisely match the roof pitch of Rob’s house, and horizontal cladding was used to create a consistent appearance with the house.

Additional steel wall framing was fitted to allow part of the building to be insulated and lined for use as a gym. Careful planning and innovative design ensured the building wasn’t just another steel shed, but a valuable addition to the property.

It was crucial that the building be completed on schedule, and happily everything went precisely to plan.

It was decided that the new shed should acknowledge the previous sheds character, so this American Barn's design has an interesting combination of open bays and internal dividing walls. Built in 2009, this is a great example of one of our very popular 12m span sheds used in an industrial situation. Five 3.5m high x 3.6m wide roller doors with one positioned to give a "drive through" capability.
