AviorTex DS is a wool rich product that is the subject of a new PCT patent application for dimensionally stable fabrics that meet and exceed all the physical property and flammability requirements for transportation fabrics. This fabric incorporates a new yarn spinning technology that allows for exceptional durability at lighter weights.

In addition, AviorTexDS may be wet washed in normal wash cycles without fear of shrinkage. The fabric may also be dry cleaned. Advantages of wet washing versus dry cleaning include approximately 20% longer life of the fabric and a 20% reduction in maintenance fees. Also, wet washing is superior to dry cleaning for maintaining fire retardance - an issue gaining prominence with the FAA Fireworthiness Working Group studying continuing compliance issues.

  • Patent-pending, wool-rich fabric technology
  • Dimensionally stable fabrics in normal machine wash environment
  • Longer life, lower maintenance costs
  • Inherent ability to retain flame retardancy for service life
