I am the owner of Bambino’s Cafe, Empire Street, Cambridge. I took over just over two month’s ago and part of my dream for the cafe was to use the wonderful space to put on affordable, live family entertainment.
This school holiday’s my dream has started to come true and Puss-in-Boots will be coming to Bambino’s .
The traditional story has been adapted by local writer Michael Switzer, and incorporates themes of friendship, respect, justice and honesty in an entertaining and accessible version of the story. The play is 50 minutes long, with fast-paced action scenes and plenty of jokes and slapstick comedy suitable for young and old alike.
Cambridge-based director, Andrew Kaye (The Shape of Things, The Glass Menagerie, The Great Tron Robbery), selected the play because he enjoyed the elements that Michael brought to it, the energetic and loveable characters, the deliciously evil baddie (who gets a poetically just comeuppance at the end of the show), and the audience interactions that keep the kids riveted to the show.
Bambino’s, Empire Street, Cambridge provides the perfect venue for the show - big enough to cope, central and kid-friendly. “
Tickets are $5 and are on sale at Bambino’s or by phoning 07 823 5950 or please email .”
