If you think these swanky French Champagne houses have had it easy, think again. Laurent Perrier (or "LP" if you want to sound in the know) have had a turbulent ride since it all started in 1812.

Battling (literally) through Two World Wars, and almost going broke because of it, while one of the owner's sons, Bernard de Nonancourt, was part of the armored division that stormed Hitler's wine cave and discovered a half a million bottles of hidden wine!
