Services include training, implementation, installation, database administration and project co-ordination. Most of these services are required with the initial installation of Opus One or the individual modules on an on-going basis. The services may also be extended into existing customers when new staff are taken on in various roles, eg payroll administrator, line manager, HR manager.
Forms part of the services group of products and are supplied at implementation for new staff as well as re-training of existing staff. Training is a pre-requisite as without training the client would not be able to realize the full potential of Opus One. When new releases of Opus One are provided, training of the new components is also required. Training is required when modifications are made for a particular client once delivered. Refresher courses and on-going training is a continuous revenue stream.
Implementation services include the overall project management of an implementation as well as the physical configuration of the solution.
Customers will request modifications from time to time specific to their individual needs. These modifications are charged for encompassing design, development, testing and deployment. Modifications are incorporated into the next release of Opus One. This keeps the Opus One solution consistent as well as providing other customers with functionality they may find useful.
Hardware & peripherals
Hardware consists of data capture devices and peripheral equipment primarily linked to the time & attendance module. Consumables are also sold including swipe cards, proximity cards, cardholders, payslip stationery and goods and services relating to hardware installation.
Opus One is written in the 4GL (4th Generation Language) Progress complete with the native Progress Database.
