Howard Moore and Claire Johnstone both have substantial experience in economic development, systems analysis, business advice, finance, qualitative research, stakeholder management, policy and negotiation.
The company's combined expertise covers public sector management including managing for outcomes, social and sectoral policy, governance and planning; community, whanau and regional economic development; Treaty negotiations, relationships and principles; asset and enterprise development; and qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Both Claire and Howard joined Industry New Zealand in its early years and assisted in the development and implementation of its grant schemes, including the Regional Partnership Programme and Growth Sector Fund programmes. Howard had also worked for the Development Finance Corporation (DFC) which provided an essential background for assessing business success. He spent 11 years as a senior credit analyst with the Development Finance Corporation and a further 10 years with the Treasury on State Forest sales.
Claire was the CEO of the Whanganui Economic Development Corporation, the inaugural chair of the Economic Development Association of New Zealand, and the first and only female CEO of the Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce. Prior to her involvement in economic development she spent many years marketing products and services in Asia.
