Bus Coupler panel

Bus Coupler Panels are used in Double Busbar Switchboards to link the two sets of three-phase busbars using a Circuit Breaker. This enhances the operational flexibility of the switchboard.

The rest of the elements of the panel remain as described in the Double Busbar Panel.

In this panel too, Current and Voltage Transformers are fitted as required for the protection scheme.

RPS Switchgear - Double Busbar

A Cable Box from which Power Cables are connected to the Transformer in the case of Incomers and Loads in the case of Feeders. Two busbar chambers segregated from each other and running the length of the switchboard. Each chamber supports one three-phase set of insulated high conductivity Copper busbars. A Control Cubicle in which the low voltage relays and instruments are fitted.

RPS Switchgear - Current Transformer

Current Transformer Current Transformer Panels are sometimes required in the switchboard when additional CTs are required in the main busbar either for Metering or Protection. In cases where the weight and size of the CTs are small, they can be fitted in a TRUNK between two panels. When the total weight and size is large a panel is used to house the CTs.

RPS Switchgear - LMVC Motor Starter

A busbar chamber that supports one three-phase set of insulated high conductivity Copper busbars that through the length of the switchboard. In some applications Surge Arresters are fitted inorder to protect the motor from excessive switching surges. A Voltage Transformer and its Housing may be incorporated so as to engage with the Circuit or Busbars. A Control Cubicle in which the low voltage relays and instruments are fitted.
