November 29, 2010—Geneva, Switzerland—Daniel Yuval, 11-year old landmine survivor, and Youth Ambassador for the Mine-Free Israel coalition will address the United Nations in Geneva, welcomed by the Foreign Minister of Switzerland and scores of diplomats at an annual meeting of parties to the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty. Daniel lost his leg to a landmine explosion while playing in the snow in the Golan Heights on February 6, 2010. From his hospital bed he spoke to Prime Minister Netanyahu and Head of Opposition Tzipi Livni, urging them to make sure that no one—man, woman or child—will get hurt or killed by landmines in his country. "When Prime Minister Netanyahu called me, I told him, we have to do something to clean up landmines," says Daniel.
