APEC Business Travel Card streamlines traveling for work

The APEC Business Travel Card provides business people with streamlined access to 18 countries in the Asia Pacific region, allowing you to focus on the business objectives of your trip and save valuable time while traveling. Used in conjunction with your passport the APEC Business Travel Card gives qualifying business people:

  • express immigration clearance through special APEC lanes on arrival and departure,
  • exemption from requirements for visas and entry permits,
  • multiple entry to participating countries for a stay of up to 90 days each visit.

The ICEHOUSE is a business growth centre that includes business growth programmes for SMEs; a business incubator for start-ups; and New Zealand's largest group of Angel Investors. DIY approach is innovative - but limiting

New report commissioned by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise looks at why the determined Kiwi 'do-it-yourself' attitude that drives New Zealand innovation can be the very trait that holds us back economically. The report, Playing to Our Strengths: Creating value for Kiwi firms, acknowledges the cultural traits that hold us back in international business - for example, not appreciating the true value of our inventiveness - and suggests strategies that businesses can employ to mitigate these traits.

New subsidy to boost workplace productivity

The government has announced a fresh initiative to boost workplace productivity.

The new 'High Performance Working' initiative will provide a pool of $1m per year to fund a network of specialist business consultants, who will work with businesses to promote more effective use of time and skills in the workplace.

"Achieving greater employee engagement and developing sound workplace practices is crucial to growing a successful business," Labour Minister Kate Wilkinson said in a release today.
