RSL is experienced in managing both small and large scale projects.
Identifying critical pathways ensures we consistently achieve project outputs and outcomes to the satisfaction of clients and other stakeholders.
Policy and planning
RSL has experience in working for and consulting to central and local government in New Zealand, as well as two central London boroughs.
Our policy and planning experience ensures we understand the often different cultures and constraints within both the public and private sectors.
RSL can develop a planning and policy approach based on the practical application of environmental management principles and requirements.
We have experience:
- Preparing assessments of environmental effects
- Developing policy under legislation including the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA), Local Government Act 2002 (LGA) and Reserves Act 1977
- Preparing and processing resource consent and park discretionary use consent applications
- Presenting expert planning evidence at hearings
- Developing park management tools
Process design and implementation
With extension experience in local and central government processes RSL has the ability to combine management requirements with operational realities in reviewing, developing and implementing processes to make services and business delivery meet everyone’s requirements.
For small projects to massive internet based management systems RSL through the Thinkers and Creators Group is able to deliver on projects from discovery to ongoing support and hosting.
Geospatial mapping and modelling
We love maps and whether is it simple spatial overlays or 3D flyovers RSL has the ability to ensure you and your clients are seeing what they need to see.
RSL has environmental economics expertise in cost-benefit analysis, non-market environmental valuation and experience in the use of economic instruments for environmental management. Cost-Benefit analysis can determine the value of environmental improvements using Community Benefit Surveys (Contingent Valuation Method). This method has been applied to council outputs, assisting in the production of LTCCPs.
RSL has a proven consultation record in statutory and targeted consultation, as well as managing submissions processes, including the RMA first schedule process.
We have extensive experience in engaging with stakeholders through preparing and facilitating workshops, interviews and focus groups. RSL supports co-Management principles and practices.
