The J-Cable enables the warfighter to operate his should-mounted MBITR radio while wearing body armor.
At 48 in. (122 cm), J-Cable's length gives the warfighter several options in configuring his radio and antenna. The right angle connection with the radio keeps the J-Cable fit securely to the body, minimizing snags and preventing breakage.
The jacks are professionally potted and insulated to ensure a tight connection in harsh environments.
MBITR J-Cable is of the highest quality and very ruggedized. The cable has been fitted with heavy-duty 90 degree connectors to alleviate cable pinch and breaking.
The Primary use is to give the operator the freedom to place his radio anywhere on the vest and allow distance to ear the antenna in several configurations.
It will connect any of the antennas available for the MBITR/Harris PRC-152 to include the popular “mantenna” wire antenna. The J-Cable is also compatible with several other military radios. Special needs can be met as required.
