P Ø LYPHEN® FOAM
POLYPHEN® foam is being used for panel production as well as in block or sheet form for use in building, tank pipe or ducting insulation.
The production process of POLYPHEN® is versatile, in that several conventional methods can be employed, depending on the desired product type and output rate. Thus, the foam can be made in a simple, low cost batch mixing process, one block at a time, or on highly automated continuous lines, producing blocks or laminated foam panels.
As the foam process already has zero ozone depletion potential, POLYPHEN® is not faced with a costly change-over to either expensive HFC blowing agents or flammable solvents requiring flame proof equipment, unlike many other foams.
P Ø LYPHEN® PANELS
POLYPHEN® can be converted into steel clad panels cost-effectively, on existing continuous lamination lines that produce the widely used polystyrene/steel panels. These lines draw steel from coils, which is roll-formed and coated with glue to create panels with easy-to-assemble tongue-and-groove edges.
PØLYPHEN® Panels are "Approved Panels" under New Zealand Standards.
NZS 4541:2007 classes insulated panels as either Combustible or Approved.
PØLYPHEN® Panels are the only New Zealand made insulated panels that have FM Approval and are “Approved Panels”.
POLYPHEN® Panelshave been used on many projects including buildings for Agrifeeds, Comvita, EastPack, Fonterra, Griffins, Goodman Fielder, Kaimai Cheese, La Bonne Cuisine and Tip Top.
Panel production is available from all leading NZ panel producers.
