The data link between the Outstation and the Central station is active at all times, allowing the devices to exchange messages at any time. True Central Station Redundancy is provided by switching between Vodaphone and 2 Degrees GPRS networks - unique to Permaconn. The Central Station Receiver Unit receives the data and sends it to the automation software for processing.

Dual redundancy is built in with both a primary and back up Central Station Receiver unit available to maintain monitoring using independent GPRS networks. The Central Station Receiver Unit is housed in a 19 inch rack mount unit and receives messages from Permaconn outstations. Two serial ports – Port 1 emulates the Ademco 685 receiver – Port 2 connection to serial printer.

The Central Station Management Unit is used to send commands to the PM1020 and PM2020 units that are installed in the protected premises. The set up consists of two components – the 19” Permaconn rack mount CSMU and the software. Remotely switch outstations to PSTN to allowtelephone downloading. Remotely operate outputs on Permaconn Outstation.

The DI-200 Dialler interface module is designed to operate with both PM1020 & PM1025 outstations, and provides a universal alarm panel dialler interface.
