Our directors have represented a diverse range of clients; some recent projects are outlined below.

NSEL is very experienced at defending criminal prosecutions and applications for enforcement orders under the Resource Management Act 1991. Examples of our work include:
Defended director and earthworks company, A H Construction Services Ltd, against criminal prosecution for unearthing a landfill containing asbestos and contaminating surrounding environment during a major commercial and industrial construction project. Auckland City Council v A H Construction Services Ltd.
Defended directors and development company, Fieldlaw Ltd, against criminal prosecution for contaminating the coastal marine area during a residential construction project. Auckland Regional Council v Fieldlaw Ltd.
Defended Southern LC Limited against an application for ex parte interim enforcement orders by Queenstown Lakes District Council to cease operation of a cement works until noise levels abated. Queenstown Lakes District Council v Southern L C Ltd.
Defended Beech Cove Property Limited in respect of application for an ex parte interim enforcement order by Queenstown Lakes District Council to cease works on a $100 million construction project until traffic concerns addressed. Queenstown Lakes District Council v Beech Cove Properties Ltd.

"Being prosecuted by the Council was very stressful. I was very pleased with the advice that NSEL gave me and the manner in which they undertook the work. This reduced the stress tremendously. They successfully negotiated a reduction in the number of charges the Council took against my company, and ensured that the charges against me personally were dropped. I would have no hesitation in recommending NSEL."Ajay Singh, Director of A H Construction Services Ltd
