Over the past 20 years Rowan Ellis has created a very unique and extremely thorough approach to musculoskeletal therapy through a combination of diagnostic, remedial massage and joint mobilisation techniques.  The musculoskeletal therapy techniques used at Body Synergy Gym have been developed by Rowan, all of our therapists have been trained in these specific techniques, and you can only receive this type of treatment at Body Synergy Gym.

A musculoskeletal consultation can include:

  • Overview of your medical history
  • Musculoskeletal Assessment
  • Hands on treatment
  • Discussion of treatment Plan
  • EMG analysis

Benefits of Rowan's Musculoskeletal consultations:

  • Decrease of pain
  • Increased mobility
  • Understanding the cause of your pain
  • Solutions

At your consultation Rowan will recomend what is the correct treatment approach for you. If you present with symptoms that may react negitively to hands on treatment Rowan will not treat you. It is very rare that this occurs however individuals can develop serious conditions requiring further investigation such as EMG analysis, x-ray or MRI scan. Rowan will take the time to discus throughly exactly what is wrong with you so you have a full understanding of your condition . If Rowan cannot help you he will tell you and refer you on. Normal consultation fees will apply.

Rowan will not provide hands on treatment to you if you present with

  • An acute prolapsed or herniated disc
  • A hypermobile unstable spine
  • Referred nerve pain below the knee
  • Loss of foot or hand power directy related to spinal pathology
  • Excessive unsafe levels of spinal compression caused by overactive muscles
  • Have loss of arm or leg relflexes
  • Loss of bladder control caused by back pain
  • An acute injury sustained within three days prior to your consultation

Rowan will provide hands on treatment to you if you present with

  • Tight adhered muscles causing nerve compression and restriction
  • Tight joints causing loss of mobility, stiffness and pain
  • A very compressed spine with no pathological symptoms such as a prolapsed disc or spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal)
  • Sciatic pain into the buttocks or thighs however not radiating below the knees
  • Referred pain into the upper arms

If you have recieved hands on treatment from several different practicioners and have not found a solution to your back or neck pain there is always a fundamental reason why. If this is you then you are most suited to a consultation with Rowan.

Consultation Fees with Rowan Ellis:
40 to 60 min $195 (non-gym members)  $185 gym members
20 to 30 min $135 (non-gym members) $130 gym members
