A rare opportunity to sail the Northland coast on board the iconic tall
ship the R.Tucker Thompson! On our
Eco-Sail voyage, you will not only get the chance to actually visit normally
inaccessible, remote locations but also play your own part in a keeping this
environment pristine and special through support of Project Island Song.
Onshore guided walks will take you to hidden Kauri trees, deep in the
native bush; then, in a reflection of more modern times a visit to a 19th
century whaling station with its grim past and a tour inside the iconic Cape
Brett Lighthouse, recently restored by DOC.
To reach these remote locations, you'll have the opportunity to sail a
tall ship – a graceful reminder of times past when man's impact on the
environment was only minimal.
