Animals & Insects

Owning an animal can be a rewarding and fun experience, but pet owners need to ensure their animals and insects do not create a danger, a nuisance or health hazard. There are specific controls in the District Plan on bee keeping, dogs, cats, insects and poultry.

Business & Economy

Enterprise North Shore works with growing businesses - large and small - that are making a positive contribution to local economic prosperity. Local businesses have the opportunity to work together with support from the council in Business Improvement Districts. The council assists in giving businesses the chance to thrive through a variety of organisations and guidance.

Cemeteries & Crematorium

Our cemeteries are well maintained so they are peaceful places where family and friends can visit their loved ones 365 days a year, and others can enjoy their park-like settings. North Shore City has seven cemeteries across the city, from Mt Victoria Cemetery in Devonport to North Shore Memorial Park and Crematorium in Albany.
