Other products and services from North Shore City Council

From infrastructural services such as transport, roading and water services to refuse and recycling, cemeteries and civil defence, we offer hundreds of services to you. Need to know about animal control, consents and compliance, property information.

Do It Online

Use this link to be transferred to the secure Government Logon Service in order to submit your residential building consent application online. You can nominate locations, within reserves or on roadside verges, as possible tree planting sites by completing this online form. We grade food premises so you can make informed decisions when buying food or choosing a café or restaurant.

Animals & Insects

Owning an animal can be a rewarding and fun experience, but pet owners need to ensure their animals and insects do not create a danger, a nuisance or health hazard. There are specific controls in the District Plan on bee keeping, dogs, cats, insects and poultry.

Cemeteries & Crematorium

Our cemeteries are well maintained so they are peaceful places where family and friends can visit their loved ones 365 days a year, and others can enjoy their park-like settings. North Shore City has seven cemeteries across the city, from Mt Victoria Cemetery in Devonport to North Shore Memorial Park and Crematorium in Albany.
