for Rose Bushes
Use Nelson's Grow-N-Thrive liquid plant food on rose bushes for more foliage and blooms throughout the growing season.
Spring Boost - In the spring when new shoots are starting to appear, begin applying a solution of 2 tbsp./gal. of water to the base of established plants. Continue every two weeks for more foliage and blooms.
Summer Second Growth - When the spring blooms have come and gone, prune the old blooms back to a five leaf branch to initiate new stem growth for new blooms. Continue to fertilize every two weeks so that the plant will have additional energy for another cycle of blooms. Continue this procedure into the fall for more blooming cycles. Black Spot
- If heat and humidity are causing black spot fungus to appear on the rose bush leaves, begin spraying once per week with a fungicide. You can mix the fungicide with Grow-N-Thrive and apply them together from a hose end sprayer or a pump-up sprayer. This procedure should minimize black spot and help your rose bushes continue to bloom throughout the summer.
