Knitting Patterns for the Hand Spinner
Patterns for the Hand Spinner was published in 2002 by Bev Tilson and from initial local distribution around Canterbury, New Zealand, it is now found in woolcrafters libraries throughout the world.
This is a no frills, no nonsense compilation of 60 timeless, mostly basic knitting patterns put together with the hand spinner in mind and with something for everyone. Approximately half the patterns are for children the rest a combination of designs for adults and accessories.
Bev brings together a host of different design elements allowing for the large range of tasteful and attractive creations. Organised in an easy format the book includes charts for yarn sizes and the conversion of needle sizes for international usage.
This illustrated soft cover book of 80 pages is perfect for slipping into your knitting bag and taking with you for knitting on the go.
Crafters Carry Bag
Designed for the crafter and ideal for the hand spinner, this calico-like bag allows you to carry all the bibs and bobs needed for your crafty day out.
For instance, a spinner will have space for her Lazy Kate, niddy noddy, fibre & still room for your lunch.
With handles built into the bag it is easy to carry and it stands 42cm x 29cm with an 18cm gusset on each side.
Spinning Lap Cloth
Attractive design blended with functionality makes this spinner’s lap cloth an ideal gift.
The heavy cotton drill material is white on one side and black on the other with a delightful commercially screen printed white, hand spinning sheep on the black side. Size is 48cm x 54cm.
The two tone colour is softer on the eyes when spinning and is great for catching any vegetable matter.
This cloth is the perfect accessory for the professional hand spinner.
