"An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure"

Swedish Massage
The classic form people usually think of when they say the word “Massage.” There are five basic strokes, all used to enhance circulation toward the heart. Vigorous manipulation of the soft tissue in the form of broad general strokes is combined with specific work on problem areas to enhance flow of blood and lymph, relax tense muscles, and energize the body.

Deep Tissue Massage
Used to release chronic patterns of muscle tension using slow strokes, direct pressure or friction directed with and against the grain of the muscles with fingers, thumbs, or elbow. Releases chronically tense tissue, breaks up adhesions and re-educates holding patterns that cause dysfunction/pain which break the pain-spasm-pain cycle. It is applied with greater pressure and to deeper layers of muscle than Swedish massage.

Prenatal Massage
For the expecting mothers - release of the aches and pains such as sciatica, low back pain, lower leg swelling. Relieves muscle spasms, cramps associated with the stress of extra weight bearing and physical changes that occur during pregnancy. Assists in reducing the stress in the weight bearing joints and musculoskeletal structures. Provides emotional support and physical nurturing which may be passed on to the baby. Reduces stress and teaches the mother to relax. Relaxation is one of the keys to labor and delivery.
