St John Ambulance Shuttle

St John is pleased to be able to support people of Marlborough to get transport to their medical appointments with the introduction of a Health Shuttle service, the service commences on April 11th 2011.

St John provides a Health Shuttle service to help people with health or mobility problems get to medical appointments in 13 locations throughout New Zealand. Health Shuttles provide free transport for people who have appointments with doctors, specialists or hospitals, and for who getting to and from an appointment might otherwise be a challenge or impossible.

While the service is free, people are encouraged to make a donation where possible, as St John is a charitable organisation.

Predominantly Health Shuttle users include young mothers and their children, elderly people and anyone with mobility or health problems where attending a medical appointment without assistance could be a real challenge.

All Health Shuttle volunteers are trained in first aid and. All Health Shuttle vehicles are fully equipped to make travelling in them as comfortable and supported as possible.

The Marlborough St John Health Shuttle runs Monday to Friday.
