Limelight’s latest SciFi feature, Sinbad and the Minotaur, is now in post production. Starring Manu Bennett (Spartacus) and Holly Brisley (Home and Away), the film is a fast action packed adventure and will feature spectacular visual effects. Sinbad and the Minotaur will be completed later this year for world wide release.

Meanwhile, Limelight is excited to announce a slate of films to be produced during 2010 that are specifically geared to take advantage of the large pool of emerging talent that is available in Australia, particularly in the state of Queensland. The slate will be known as NEXT GENERATION Films and the first feature is called Undertow - an award winning thriller written by Jacqueline Cook - which will be directed by Limelight’s Dale Bradley in July 2010

Dale Bradley, Supervising Producer for Limelight says he has made a career out of giving young film makers a great opportunity. "Invariably they produce spectacular results," says Bradley. "I have learned that the key to success is to ensure that both crew and cast have some seasoned professionals included. That way every day is not only a learning opportunity but a mentoring one as well."

Dale is quick to point out that the emerging talent on these films will not be raw beginners (although there will be a few places made available for interns). They will be ideal opportunities for film makers who already have a great deal of experience and are ready to take the next step in their careers. "We are looking for the best", he says. "But often very talented people are not given the chance to step up because they don’t have a previous credit. And that’s the old problem: How do you get a credit until you have a credit?"
