The high quality timbers used in our knife blocks have been sustainably grown or have been recycled. Our unique magnetic mounting system elegantly floats the block off the wall and means less timber is required to achieve sufficient handle clearance.

European Beech

We use furniture-grade European beech that has been sustainably grown and harvested. Using beech means we don't contribute to the felling of native New Zealand trees. European beech is widely used for furniture and for kitchen utensils due to its excellent durability, strength and consistency.

Recycled timbers

We currently have a limited number of recycled timber blocks. These have been sourced from old furniture and flooring.

Recycled New Zealand Rimu. Because this rimu is recycled, it may contain an occasional nail hole. These holes will be in the back surface and won't be visible when mounted.
