We are happy to receive 4 stars for our Kalex Wines Pinot Noir 2009

Judges Tasting notes: Lovely floral aromatics with an overlay of coffee introduce this new label with giving texture, a fresh brambly fruit presense and a generous oak influence. An excellent choice to serve with an antipasto plate that includes spicy charcuterie.

Wine Name: Kalex Wines Pinot Noir 2009
Award: Silver Medal & Best in Class

Wine Color:

Tasting Category Pinot Noir - Bendigo - 2010-2007

Judges Tasting Notes: Mature, magnificent bouquet, fragrant and exuding cool elegance: a lovely combination of bitter herbs and spices mingling with cherry fruit; ample but subtle. The palate is, by contrast, amazingly open and a touch overripe with meaty, cheesy notes finding dried fruit and sweet spices. Silky, linear and long dry flavour.

The Kaufman Vineyard before pruning begins.

Our vines pruned and ready for the 2012 Vintage. The prunings on the ground will be mulched and in time returned to the soil.

Canopy wires are now in place ready to hold the summer growth of our old vine Pinot.
