If a button/direction does not work in the, or you do not have access to a PC, you can to check and see if the microswitch has by chance simply fallen out of it's socket, and if it has just snap it snugly back into place. To use the test, first move the switch on the back of the X-Arcade™ to Mode1(the position closest to the serial port), then push the button on the back of the X-Arcade™ twice to load Mode1.


Programming Your X-Arcade Keys

The X-Arcade™ was designed to be used with a variety of games, however, some games do not allow you to program the keys of the keyboard within the game itself. To change modes, you must slide the switch on the back to desired Mode position, and then press the SAVE/LOAD button TWICE to load that mode. These 4 memory banks are factory programmed with a default set of keys that you can assign to any command within your favorite game.


Guide For Those Who Want 100% 4 Way or 100% 8 Way Play

Next, simply remove the bottom panel, this is easiest done with a flat object like a butter knife (careful not to cut yourself) or some other wide flat object. First remove the screws on the bottom of the X-Arcade™ that are recessed in the rubber feet. You will notice a tiny silver "C" shaped metal piece (C-Clip) on the bottom. Now replace the C-Clip, and the bottom panel, and enjoy some Pac-Man.


X-Arcade Installation

This is a great benefit as you don't need to install any drivers or software. The X-Arcade™ is recognised by your console as a regular console gamepad. Locate and unplug the keyboard from the port at the back of the computer. Locate and plug the included black serial cable into X-Arcade™3.. Available in one player or two player sizes.
