Young Adults Bookclub
CHB District Libraries is a part of the Aotearoa People's Network and can offer FREE use of 6 computer terminals with full multi media facilities at each branch. One computer at each branch is an express computer and there is a time limit on these. You can also book time on the computers by ringing or going into the libraries. For more information on the Aotearoa People's Network project check out this link
Both libraries are also free wifi hotspots.
What is a hotspot? - It is an area where a wireless access point enables users carrying wireless-enabled laptops to log on to the Internet. The limiting condition is that the access point is configured to broadcast its presence and does not require authorization for access. Generally, WiFI hotspots are located in public places like airports, train stations, libraries, marinas, convention centers, coffee shops and hotels.
There is a small charge for printing using these services
Books At Home
Our Books at Home service provides library material on a regular basis for people who, for reasons of ill health or disability, are unable to come to the library.
Fiction, non-fiction, large print and talking books, magazines and videos may all be borrowed through the service.
You will need to phone the Waipukurau library or Waipawa Library on +64 6 -857 8060 for staff to bring your books to you.
This service is free.
Providing the book has not been requested by another borrower, an extension of time may be obtained by presenting the book at your library or phoning and requesting a renewal.
