Service Delivery Goal:

To reduce death rates, injury and disability from road traffic crashes for Turanganui A Kiwa Whanau

Community Injury Prevention is a Health Promotion Service that aims to:

  • reduce the number of incidence of death and injury, particularly in the area of road traffic and alcohol related injury
  • increase the number of injury prevention initiatives within the community
  • raise the awareness of injury prevention at a local and national level

Community action on youth & drugs

CAYAD aims to improve the health of the population by reducing Cannabis, Methamphetamine, Alcohol and other drug related harm and to increase community ownership and capacity to address these health issues. To improve the health and wellbeing of Turanganui A Kiwa Whanau by assisting and developing community action strategies against drugs and it's impact on our Rangatahi.

There are regular clinics providing FREE health checks and education in the following rural communities. Disease State Management Programme provides individuals and whanau with education and support on. To self manage their disease and wellness by an advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.


Home & Community Support Service

Helping whanau to maintain well being and independence in the safety of their own home, also during transition from home into a supported independent setting. These services are only provided once the assessment is complete and confirmation of allocated hours are received from the referring agency. Helping Whanau to be safe and independent in their own home. Personal Health Illness / Disease.
