Eastech carries out overhead line maintenance and construction work for the network â including pole, transformer and conductor replacement â but also offers a comprehensive range of lines and electrical services to the general public, farms and businesses. This includes the construction of private power lines, the repair of lines on farms, new connections for electricians, and switching supply from overhead to underground.
It was a logical step for Eastland Group to create the company. Eastland Network was like many others throughout the country who outsourced field services work in the late 1990s but it soon became apparent there was a gaping gap in the market. Key to the decision to establish Eastech was delivering customers with an improved and more sustainable service. With teams based in Gisborne, Wairoa and on the coast, it is doing just that.
In its first year of operation, Eastech increased in size and more than met its budgeted expectations.
