CHAMPIX STORY ON NZ HERALD:

If you are on Champix you may have read a recent article on Champix in the NZ Herald. Find out the issues surrounding it. We recom- mend that you to stay on it if you are not experiencing side effects and are successfully quitting smoking.

MEASLES OUTBREAK IN AUCKLAND:

There have been about 40 cases of measles in Auckland. If you have young children please check if they need any additional immunisation and other protective steps you can take to prevent measles. The 4 year old MMR can be given early, ask your nurse.

PRACTICE FEE REVIEWED:

Our practice fee has been reviewed and updated.

CAR PARKS AT EASTMED:

Eastmed complex has well over 70 car parks. Please note if you’re a a Grace Joel Rest Home Visitor park your car on allocated rest home car parks. Time restrictions will soon apply for car parks and will be policed more. Sorry for the inconvenience of not able to find a car park during busy hours.

Please give plenty of time to arrive so you are not in a rush to find a park and can park on site or on the side roads. Walking to the clinic, taking a bus or asking your friend or family to transport you are some of the ways to avoid bringing your car.

Measles Update, Measles Outbreak Auckland News

ARPHS is also encouraging children aged between 15-months and 3 years of age who have had one MMR over a month ago to have their second MMR early. The Auckland Regional Public Health Servicehas now confirmed 39 cases of measles in what is the largest outbreak in Auckland this year. The measles rash is an erythematous maculopapular rash (usually 14 days post initial exposure, 3�5 days post onset of prodrome).
