South Canterbury Mountainbike Club » Race Report

Another Timaru 12hr race is done for the year and the SCMTB club was well represented, with 9 of the 18 Timaru teams having at least one or more of our members. Trevor polished his crashing skills when a rider walked out in front of him causing Trev to 'T'bone the bike and leave a few red deposits about the place. Once again congratulations to all the club riders for an outstanding effort.

South Canterbury Mountainbike Club » Club Rides – Upcoming

The Cragieburn track will take us up the ski-field road, and descend again on sweet single track all the way down, crossing shingle screes and through native beech forest. This will be the last weekend away ride for the club this year, as December is normally a busy time for families. Weather depending, we will look at doing Cragieburn or Hogs Back or both. Here are details for a club ride in Cragieburn Forest Park this weekend.

South Canterbury Mountainbike Club » Chocolate Fish Race Results

Mountain Biking North Otago designed another fantastic course with a good mix of fast flowing downhills, tight twisting uphills and the odd jump for those that were keen. The track used elements of the last race course but in reverse, and was a bit longer with some fast and fun downhill. Thanks to Andrew Milne and Mountain Biking North Otago for designing and preparing a great race track.
