Living up to its reputation for being the most advanced engineering workshop in the region, ANDAR Engineering Solutions has made a recent investment in purchasing a Hartford CNC specialist machining centre (milling machine).  With 24 different cutting tools, associated with a 4th axis, our workshop can now produce 3D shapes on any type of metal.

"Originally happy with a 2-axis CNC machinging centre, it soon became apparent that our capacity was becoming stretched again with the amount of orders coming in," states Shane Thurlow, Engineering Solutions Manager.  "Also, we were increasingly being presented with opportunities to quote for 4th-axis work.

To complement our CNC machining operation we have connected our three machines into a central hub and utilising FeatureCAM, we are now off line programming and our staff have undergone intensive training to ensure they are up to standard.

The machine's 4th-axis capability will enable us to secure additional work that was previously beyond its former 2-axis machining capabilities".
