The Pioneer X-SMC3 iPod system represents the next step in iPod docking systems. As well as the standard facilities for docking and charging your iPod or iPhone, the X-SMC3 can also wirelessly connect to your router, giving you access to not only music stored on your computer, but also internet services such as internet radio.

Add another unit, or more, and you effectively have a system capable of playing from multiple sources in multiple rooms - not quite full multiroom, but very very close to it.

You can also plug in USB devices into the handy USB port, enabling you to play WMA, MP3, AAC and FLAC files with ease. Or, plug in the optional Pioneer AS-BT200 module into the USB port to allow you to stream via Bluetooth. Bluetooth will also enable you to use Air Jam, which allows up to four different iPhone, iPad or iTouch devices to access the X-SMC3 and play music form all of them.

Want to know more? Then check out the video below and see how the X-SMC3 could fit into your home.
