Web Applications are software applications that are accessed with a web browser over a network or via the internet. They are an alternative to software installed as local applications.

Web applications are popular as the software is accessed via a web browser with no application specific software installed on the user’s computer (the client). The actual software application runs on a ‘Web Server’ (the server) and can be accessed by users who connect to the server. Security can also be easily implemented.

Web based applications are independent of the operating system running on the client and are totally independent of the location of the user. The web server application can be located in New Zealand with the client located anywhere in the world that has an internet connection back to the server, this could be Christchurch, Sydney or Shanghai.

No licensing is required and so multiple users can access the software at the same time and the web server software application can be easily updated as it resides on only one computer.

Web based applications provide an ideal way to connect to database applications with reports and trending.

Web Automation custom design Web Applications to meet your specific requirements. Software development starts with a detailed functional specification with client approval and testing before onsite implementation. We can use Microsoft, Java and Open Technologies.

Projects can be as simple as monitoring a single value or as complex as monitoring and controlling a complete factory or gathering and displaying data from a wide area telemetry network.

Web Automation has provided Web based production scheduling and maintenance/fault logging applications for Sanitarium & General Cable.
