I work using narrative and cognitive behavioural therapies with:

  • Children of all ages, their siblings, and their whanau/family

  • Children who may have experienced sexual abuse or other trauma

  • Children experiencing difficulties with sexualised behaviour, self-esteem, mental health (e.g. anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder), separation, grief

  • Families who may be experiencing difficulties with parenting and family relationships

I am particularly interested in complex trauma for example, inter-generational abuse, imprisonment of a parent, difficulties that have a cultural context.

My preference is for the supervision hour to provide food for thought, some research or practice references to support those positions and a detailed clinical (or management, cultural, organisational) discussion on the basis of which to use new skills or dust off old ones.
