In the dark ages (pre-1985) when cabling a building for voice and data systems, installers would probably have used a variety of outlets, connectors and proprietary cabling systems.
Whilst these cabling components were initially satisfactory for set-up of individual workstations, the dynamic needs of business soon brought about expensive overheads. Whenever individual workstations needed to be relocated, new cabling would usually be installed, this being disruptive and time consuming - not to mention costly.
Today however, structured cabling standards have evolved to use Optical Fibre, Unshielded Twisted Pair or Shielded Twisted Pair cable and are independent of Data type, computer system or building layout. These highly flexible systems allow cost savings at installation, commissioning and throughout the life of the system while increasing the reliability and manageability of information transmission - your IT system’s foundation.
That’s why when deciding on a cabling system you need to be sure that the products you plan to purchase conform to national and International Standards and are capable of providing for today’s network needs, with built-in ‘headroom’ for tomorrow.
Hi-Tech Cabling can provide you with:

  • A structured cabling solution whereby your PABX, LAN or WAN computer network and interactive video conferencing system can work together, using a system built from the same family of components.
  • A total cabling solution that’s fully capable of handling the 100Mbps data traffic over UTP and 500 Mhz (Multimode) over fibre optic cable. It’s a system that is totally compliant with International Standards, while offering the flexibility modern networks need.
  • A range of products that includes conventional and fibre optic cabling and patching products designed for Campus and Backbone installation; cross-connect modules and patch panels for patching to horizontal systems, and patch cords, surface mount and flushmount RJ45 outlets for connection to individual workstations.

Hi-Tech Cabling can supply and assist with the installation of all your active and passive hub equipment to result in a fully functional voice and data network.
The structured cabling solution is not limited to an integrated range of high performance components. Our expert staff can also design a system to suit the unique needs of every customer, project manage installation and then fully certify each site prior to system commissioning and hand-over phase.
